If I file for divorce before the 2 years, is my spouse in jeopardy of losing his green card?

i was in a relationship with my now husband way before we decided to get married. His visa was expired and we got married in good faith. We haven't been married a full year yet and our relationship has gone sour. He already has his conditional green card, but we're no where near the 2 year anniversary of the first interview. I don't want him to lose his status or anything, i just don't want to stay married to him because things are not working out between us.
