Turtle Question?

Okay I got a turtlr from my friend. It was found in my region (southeast Texas) and I'm not sure if it is a turtle or tortoise. It's back feet are kinda weebed, but kinda look different from other aquatic animals weebed feet. It has a domed sheel with a tall edge on top. it is a dark green color with lime green stripes on skin, and has a dark green shell. Any information you may have on what it is, turtle or tortoise, what type it is (like..breed), or anything such please help me.
