What is the lowest quality of sound that will still sound good on an iPod Touch?

I am trying to minimize the size of my music library on my iPod Touch, and I figure I'll re-transcode my library into a lesser quality to do so. Does anyone know what bitrate I should encode it to that will minimize size but retain decent quality (b, clarity, etc) on an iPod Touch?
