I am so confused about boys! Please HELP!?

Alright so about two weeks ago this boy (who happens to be very attractive.. in my eyes) started talking to me on aim! we talked EVERY night and had the BEST conversations! Literally! I knew our nightly chats were going to end soon because he was too popular for me. I did not want them to stop though! Why do guys talk to girls during a short period of time and then suddenly stop... and a month later talk to them again? it doesn't make sense!
